Michael Virata, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Michael graduated and earned his associates degree from Pima Medical Institute in Seattle, Washington. He became interested in physical therapy after having to go to physical therapy for knee dislocation and fell in love with the environment. He performed an internship at Intecore Physical therapy as a student and had a wonderful time with all the workers and decided why not work here. Living the dream! He loves the idea of understanding the human body and being able to help and rehabilitate people and help them "return back to life".

Originally born in San Diego, California, and having his dad in the military, he was able to travel all over the from California, Japan, Philippines, and finally Washington since 2005. In his spare time he enjoys working out, hiking, and exploring the next best restaurant!

Andrew Vertson, PT, DPT, ATC

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Andrew received his Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science from California State University Fresno in 1991. He then earned his Masters degree of Physical Therapy in 1996 and his Doctorate degree of Physical Therapy in 2002 from Loma Linda University. He has also completed extensive post-graduate course work in orthopedic manual therapy through Kaiser-West Los Angeles and the Ola Grimsby Institute.

He has more than twenty-five years of clinical experience, and extensive continuing education in orthopedic physical therapy. During his career, he has worked with professional athletes from the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, in addition to numerous Olympic gold medalists as well as movie and television personalities.

Andrew’s main focus is returning his patients to life. This means helping the patient get back what makes them most happy! In his free time, Andrew enjoys cooking, flying as a private pilot, and traveling with his wife, Catherine.
