Meet the Bremerton Team
Kayla Fleming, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant
My name is Kayla Fleming and I am from Orange County, California. I recently got married last December and moved to Bremerton with my husband who serves as a corpsman in the Navy. I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology from Azusa Pacific University, then would go on to obtain my Associates degree at Stanbridge University for Physical Therapy Assistant, graduating in August 2023. As someone who is very active in my free time, I am passionate about coming alongside patients to help them improve their quality of life and get back to freely doing the things they are passionate about as well.
In my free time, you can find me playing volleyball, pickleball, playing competitive Roundnet, or sitting down with a good book.
Ben Flanig, PTA
Physical Therapy Assistant
Hello there! I'm Ben, a proud graduate of Olympic College and a former Army medic. I was born and raised in Washington and came back after my time in the service. When I'm not at the gym or sleeping, you can find me hanging out with my Bernese Mountain Dog, Pancake. I like pretty much any outdoor activity you can think of, but I am also perfectly happy doing nothing at home. I look forward to helping you on your return to your normal life!
Andrew Vertson, PT, DPT, ATC

During his career, he has worked with professional athletes from the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, in addition to numerous Olympic gold medalists as well as movie and television personalities.
Andrew’s main focus is returning his patients to life. This means helping the patient get back what makes them most happy! In his free time, Andrew enjoys cooking, flying as a private pilot, and traveling with his wife, Catherine.
Tasha Rice, Patient Care Coordinator
Patient Care Coordinator
I'm originally from Northern California and recently moved to Washington as my husband is in the army. I will soon be majoring in healthcare administration, which I am very excited about. I have a 4 year old dog named Kylo Ren who is basically my child. I spend most of my free time reading but when the weather's nice I enjoy going on hikes or just being outdoors with my husband. I'm looking forward to my time here at Intercore PT!
Lucy Purser, PT Aide
Physical Therapist Aide
I grew up and spent the majority of my life in Western Colorado, but decided to move to Washington in pursuit of a new environment and new experiences! I have a degree in Biology and hope to continue my education in the future to a more specialized field in healthcare. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, camping, or doing just about any activity outside! I also have a deep love for art and spend a good amount of my time painting or drawing.
