Meet the Team

Kayla Fleming, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

My name is Kayla Fleming and I am from Orange County, California. I recently got married last December and moved to Bremerton with my husband who serves as a corpsman in the Navy. I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology from Azusa Pacific University, then would go on to obtain my Associates degree at Stanbridge University for Physical Therapy Assistant, graduating in August 2023. As someone who is very active in my free time, I am passionate about coming alongside patients to help them improve their quality of life and get back to freely doing the things they are passionate about as well.

In my free time, you can find me playing volleyball, pickleball, playing competitive Roundnet, or sitting down with a good book.

Chico Atendido, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

My name is Chico, I was born in the Philippines and moved to San Diego when I was 14 years old. In 2010, my family and I relocated from Port Hueneme, California, to Silverdale, Washington, and I’ve been here ever since.

Before becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant, I proudly served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee Equipment Operator. After my military service, I attended Olympic College and graduated from the PTA program in 2015. I then spent 10 years working at a Naval Hospital before joining Intecore Physical Therapy in November 2025.

My wife, Jennifer, is an LPN at the VA, and together we have three amazing kids. Kiana attends the University of Colorado Boulder, Kaden is preparing to enlist in the Marines, and Kyler is a high school senior. We also have a a cockapoo named Khloe.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy playing basketball and softball, hiking, mountain biking, ping pong, and, of course, eating snacks. My family and I also enjoy traveling whenever we get the chance. I’m a big fan of the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners, and I’ve been a die-hard New York Knicks fan since June 3, 2026.

I’m passionate about helping people get back to doing the things they love and making therapy a positive and encouraging experience. Whether you’re recovering from surgery, healing from an injury, or simply trying to move better, I’m happy to be part of your journey.
